I apologize for the long hiatus. My lawyers advised me to keep the site down even after the TRO expired while the case was ongoing. What happened was that years ago, someone from Araneta Center Inc. sent me a letter demanding that i give them my domain. I ignored it. I was using it and it wasn’t for sale. Then a few years later, someone from their company approached my dad with a request to get my domain name for the company. The guy was offering me 3000 dollars for my fledgling website but i found out that he was asking his company for 2 million pesos. Funny right. Anyway, i just kept my blog with my domain name. I didn’t really want to sell it anyway.

All of a sudden, a few years later, some rude employee wrote to me to surrender my domain to them or else! I said no. It was my domain, paid for legitimately, and used legitimately. Specially since the words ‘araneta’ and ‘center’ are common names. Also, i live and work in araneta center so i had a legitimate reason to blog about the place. Yes, it is a place. This eventually resulted in their attempt to take it from me by going to the IP Office with some complaint. Their complaint with the IPO fell through due to the fact that the Court of Appeals upheld the law (yes, there is Justice in the Philippines even though some politicians are corrupt, the justices are not!).

So now, i can blog about araneta center again. The place where i grew up. I hope to get people to notice the places that certain companies don’t pay attention to just because they don’t earn from them. Not all the buildings in Araneta Center are owned by the evil wannabe empire. Even if they are being choked off and pushed around, these great establishments still survive and thrive.

Just to say it again, this is a blog website. This is in NO way related to Araneta Center Inc., the _______, ________, ________, ___________ company who wanted to take something from me.
